HISTORY The main drama of Megan Jones’ history took place before she had even been born. Her mother Gwenda wasn’t from a strict elitist sort of Pureblooded clan, but her parents were what one would call old fashioned, and they frowned upon having children out of wedlock, and so months before Megan’s arrival Gwenda married Muggleborn Morgan Jones – who despite his magical abilities worked in a rather nice Muggle restaurant in Cardiff. Morgan’s choice to live in a Muggle neighborhood, almost entirely without magic was the main point of argument between the two for many months, Gwenda worked at St. Mungo’s as a Healer, and made most of the family’s galleons. The marriage didn’t last long, when little Megan was just about ready to attended some form of primary school, she and her mother moved back to Vale of Clwyd where Gwenda had been raised, and her Grandparents still lived.

For the most part Megan was raised by her Mother and Grandparents who lived nearby. Soon after Megan turned five her mother re-married, this time to a fellow Healer by the name of Kendal, who also happened to resided in Wales, Kendal had one daughter named Meredith, who was three years older than Megan, and often stayed with her own Mother who lived and worked in Hogsmeade. The new family quickly became just that, a family. Gwenda finally had the nice house and garden that she had always wanted so that she could grown her own herbs and magical plants and toy with new combinations and ointments in her spare time. Gwenda and Kendal had two sons, together, Megan’s half siblings, Owen and Vaughn. Although her brothers were quite a few years younger, most of Megan’s pre- Hogwarts years were spent playing with them, at her Grandparents, or on one of the many trips that her very traditional and proud Grandmother organized to visit the many nearby medieval castles. Of course Megan wasn’t as interested in the trips once her Hogwarts letter came.

Of course, Hogwarts began, or rather enhanced Megan’s tendency to talk. At home the brunt of her chatting habit had always been taken out on her younger siblings or any elder relative to slow to escape the eleven year old once she opened her mouth. When her Hogwarts letter arrived Megan talked of little else for days and soon everyone within a five mile radius knew exactly where she was going to school. She wasn’t terribly shocked to be sorted into Hufflepuff as it was the house that both of her parents had been in. Megan settled into life at Hogwarts rather easily here she had many people to talk to and classes that interested her. She quickly took to Charms and History of Magic as it was an excellent class in which to pass notes rather than focus. In her second year Megan formed one of her first major crushes on Professor Lockhart, although the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher seemed slightly inept at times. Like a few of her fellow Hufflepuffs Megan was thoroughly convinced that Harry Potter was indeed the person responsible for several students being petrified, Megan went on believing this if not wholeheartedly until the real culprit was found.

Third year seemed to go by in a blur of quidditch matches, trips to Hogsmeade, and constant chatter about the escaped fugitive Sirius Black. Megan was never as worried as some of her peers, Hogwarts seemed like such a solid and safe place after all and their Professors would never let anything happen to them. Forth year was exciting, the Triwizard Tournament brought with it millons of new things to gossip about. Students from different schools, and the fact that a Hufflepuff was the Triwizard Champion (if you ignored the fact that Harry Potter was also in the contest). Megan spent much of the school year so full of house pride that it's a wonder she didn't burst.
